The brief was to create a repeat pattern that could be used on a 'Bunad Tie'. The Bunad is a traditional costume worn by Norwegians when celebrating large family events, and on the 17th of May - Norway's day of independence. Each region has their own design. This design belongs to the Øst-Telemark region of Norway.
This private customer wanted a custom wallpaper for their country house in France. The brief was to create a design featuring two types of flowers that were her parents favourites, and which grow wild in the surrounding area.
I was fortunate to work as a colourist on these two exciting children's books.
